Home/About

South Australian owned and operated, backed by a 100-truck group.

SA Bulk Materials and Haulage was established in Adelaide in 2026 by the principals of WA Sand Supply & Haulage to bring a proven bulk haulage operation to South Australia and to pair it with an engineering-led civil materials business.

Where we come from

Two of SA Bulk’s principals are directors of WA Sand Supply & Haulage, which runs more than 100 trucks in Western Australia, all under two years old, with its own maintenance facilities. That business built its reputation on infrastructure spoil haulage, including the Perth Metro project, and on reliable quarry cartage for major material suppliers.

In 2026 the group was invited to bring that capability to South Australia. SA Bulk Materials and Haulage Pty Ltd was registered as a South Australian company, a yard was set up at Burton in Adelaide’s north, and five semi tippers started carting quarry products while new Scania truck-and-dog sets were ordered to the Torrens to Darlington project specification.

We employ in South Australia, our drivers are on the books full time, and our operations are run from Adelaide by a local team, with white-collar and back-office support from the group in Perth.

SA Bulk operates as two divisions. The Civil Materials division, led by our civil engineer, selects and supplies conforming quarry products for infrastructure, tunnelling, road, mining, quarry and plant customers. The Haulage division, run by our operations manager, carts them with the fleet. Customers can use either division on its own or both together under one price.

How we work

Safe every load

Fatigue, mass and maintenance managed properly, because our drivers and the public share the road.

Local for the long run

Hauling for the state we call home.

Every SA Bulk truck will carry its own Australian animal mascot and a fleet number. It started as a way to make big trucks a little friendlier for the kids who wave at them, and it has become part of who we are. Spot them all.
