Home/Civil Materials division

Civil material supply and selection.

The Civil Materials division is run by civil engineers. We select the right quarry product for your specification, source it from the nearest conforming quarry and deliver it per tonne, with the test results to prove it.

Selection by engineers, not guesswork

The wrong product costs more than the right one: failed tests, rework and trucks waiting. Our civil engineering team takes that risk out of supply.

Specification matching

Each product is checked against the DIT Master Specification, Austroads guidance or your project specification before it is ordered, including class, grading and source requirements.

Conformance and testing

We review the quarry’s current test results (grading, plasticity, CBR, abrasion and moisture) and arrange independent testing where the specification or your ITP requires it.

Sourcing and alternatives

Supply from the nearest conforming quarry, with recycled or alternative products proposed where the specification allows, and continuity of supply planned across the program.

Documentation for your QA

Delivery dockets, test certificates and lot records supplied in the format your superintendent and ITPs call for.

Material and haulage in one price

You get one price per tonne delivered, with the load count and combination we will use, and one invoice.

Pricing the material and the trucks together removes the gap between the quarry docket and the delivery docket. We buy at trade rates from the quarries closest to your site, choose the combination that suits your access, and program the deliveries around your crew.

  • Trade pricing from the nearest conforming quarry
  • Delivery dockets with tonnes and product on every load
  • Staged deliveries to match placement rates
  • Credit accounts available for established contractors

Materials questions

The things we get asked most.

Do you sell the material, or just cart it?

Both. We can supply and deliver quarry products as a single price per tonne delivered, or cart material you have already purchased from the quarry under a haulage rate.

What is the minimum order?

A single truckload. A semi tipper carries approximately 27 tonnes and a truck-and-dog 40 to 44 tonnes. For smaller quantities, ask us about splitting a load across nearby sites.

Can you tip where we need it?

Yes. Our drivers will tip in stockpiles, windrows or spread loads where site access and safety allow. Tell us the access route and tipping area when you book.

Do you provide material test results?

Yes. Our civil engineer reviews the quarry’s current test results before supply and provides them with the delivery, and we arrange independent testing where your specification or ITP requires it.

Can you help choose the right product for a specification?

Yes. Send us the specification clause or drawing note and our Civil Materials division will recommend conforming products, the nearest source and any approved alternatives such as recycled base.

How quickly can you deliver?

Next day is usual for standard products, and same day is often possible for Adelaide metropolitan sites. Project volumes are programmed with you in advance.

Need conforming material on site?

Send the specification, the tonnes and the site. Our engineers will confirm the product and we will price it delivered with a delivery window.
